Are you taking friendships for granted?

"Even the most caring people can get tired of being taken for granted." - Nishan Panwar

Did you know that humans are the most social creatures on this planet?

When we have a conversation someone, even a short one, we get a natural high.

Our body releases feel-good endorphins. We feel connected. We feel alive.

Surrounding ourselves with our good friends is vital to emotional and mental wellbeing.

Yet, in between taking care of our family, home and work life, socialising can sometimes drop off that list.

We think - oh I'll organise something next week, then the next, then the next...until a whole month passes. Maybe even two.

It's incredibly easy for us humans to habituate - you know, get used to things.

We get used to a person and assume they will always be there.

We take them for granted even though it's not our intention.

So here's a little reminder to reconnect with someone that you know will always be there for you.

Write down 3 things you are grateful for about a particular friendship in your life.

Then send them a text, give them a call, organise a catch up if you can.

Tell them how much they mean to you.

Stay peachy,
