What lies ahead for the League community

Community Address: 20th March 2020

Hi,

I know it's been a bit of radio silence from me the last few weeks. To be totally honest, it's been an incredibly tough time for me and I know I'm not alone in this.

Over the last 9 years, the League has been connecting and inspiring women through live meetups, events and conferences. The global happenings that's unfolded over the last few weeks has been absolutely crippling to so many businesses, creatives and communities - us included.

Overnight, we've found ourselves lost.

After a stellar Techformation conference in Melbourne, we had to cancel our highly anticipated Run The World Conference in Brisbane and all future events indefinitely.

Not only had the months and months of planning and preparation for these events been lost, but I felt that the community we had built over the years was also at risk of disappearing.

During this time, a few of you reached out to me to ask if I was okay and what you could do to help. If it weren't for this support, I'd probably still be lying on my bathroom floor, sobbing and feeling helpless.

had to ask myself, how can we continue to serve this community?

The answer - to bring the magic we create in live events - right to you.

We've created a safe haven for you where you can continue to connect, be inspired and learn from other extraordinary women. You can check out the space here 👩‍💻

For the cost of an almond latte a week ☕️, you'll get access to a slick platform and mobile app 24/7 where you can hang out with other women, participate in our virtual events and connect with some seriously inspiring women.

All of which will allow you to avoid the temptation to be sucked into the C-word (you know the one - it rhymes with Sharona and breeds fear) filled newsfeeds on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter 😷

There's so much more I could add to what the League Membership will give you but you know what to do if you want to learn more.

I want to end this by saying that I know that through thick and thin, having support and feeling like we're all in it together is what pulls us through 💓

Regardless of whether I'll see you on there, if you're struggling and need someone to talk to, I'm here for you.

Because, if it weren't for those of you that reached out to me, to encourage me along and remind me what I'm made of, you probably would be reading a very different email right now.

Stay Peachy,
